Christ for the Caribbean held a Conference on Grand Cayman Island at Calvary Baptist Church in September. (Bro. Michael Jeremiah is the pastor.) The Conference was well attended and many pastors from the area and other islands were in attendance. There was great cooperation between Calvary Baptist Church and Good News Baptist Church is carrying out the logistics of the meeting. The theme for the meeting was “Building in Time, With Eternity in View” (The text verse was Isaiah 58:12) “And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.” There was some great teaching and preaching that took place during the week. Through our discussions with the pastors, the ministry of Christ for the Caribbean saw some progress in better understanding the needs of the Caribbean pastors and their ministries. There were those that were led to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ during the week and we rejoice in the salvation of souls.
The next Conference will be the annual meeting in St Lucia on November 6 – 10 at Ambassador Baptist Church in Vieux Fort. (Bro. Samuel Philbert is the pastor.) The theme for this meeting is “A Great Door and Effectual is Open.” The text for the theme is 1 Corinthians 16:9 “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” We are anticipating many to come from all over the Islands, the U.S., and from other countries. We ask that you pray for the manifested presence of God to be upon this meeting. God is certainly working in the hearts of many that have already committed to help us in this ministry endeavor and many miraculous things have happened and are in the works for the future.
Would you help us to pray for God to grant us wisdom as we continue to reach out to the people of the Caribbean Islands. A great door and effectual is opened unto us and we need God’s guidance, provision, and power to be able to walk through that door to the glory of God.
